The Special Investigation Team (SIT) that looked into the tragic stampede at Sakar Vishwa Hari's gathering in Hathras on 2nd July has submitted a comprehensive 300-page report. The document scrutinizes the committee responsible for the event's organization, highlighting their failure alongside the apparent indifference of the attending officers. Remarkably, the report does not refer to Surajpal aka Sakar Vishwa Hari at all.
The SIT recorded statements from 119 individuals, ranging from Ashish Kumar, the Hathras District Magistrate, to Nipun Agrawal, the Superintendent of Police, including officials who approved the gathering and police officers on duty during the fateful day of the assembly.
Furthermore, testimonies of the relatives of the deceased and injured devotees have been logged. According to sources, the report assigns the blame for the catastrophe to the committee for summoning more participants than allowed, inadequate preparations and a lack of onsite inspection by the authorities despite permission being granted.

The team included ADG Agra Zone Anupam Kulshrestha and Aligarh Commissioner Chaitra V. After thorough investigations, they surrendered the findings to the governance.
Sakar Vishwa Hari's lawyer presents a new theory
Prior to this, AP Singh, the lawyer for Suraj Pal aka Sakar Vishwa Hari, postulated a fresh theory on the chaos that ensued in Hathras. Singh alleged that 10-12 individuals armed with toxic spray infiltrated the gathering. They released the spray as they fled in what appeared to be a well-planned conspiracy, and managed to escape in a vehicle, leaving several attendees unconscious. Singh insisted on an inquiry to uncover the individuals behind this incident, suggesting that CCTV footage could unveil the conspirators in what he asserted to be not an accident, but a case of homicide.
