At the break of dawn on April 14th, three rounds of gunfire were open-fired outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence. Despite heavy security, at around 4:50 AM, two unidentified individuals arrived on a motorcycle near the actor's Galaxy Apartment and began shooting. Both shooters wore helmets which concealed their identities, making it difficult to track them down.
Images of the assailants come to light
Pictures of the two individuals who fired the shots have surfaced. One was seen wearing a black and white T-shirt, while the other sported a red T-shirt. These images, obtained through CCTV footage, have intensified the search for the duo. The police are actively working to locate them, with vital clues now in the hands of central agencies.
Sources suggest that the shooters involved in the incident at Salman Khan's house could have ties to Haryana and Rajasthan. It's suspected that the notorious Rohit Godara's gang from Rajasthan, connected with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, arranged for the shooters. An interpol notice has also been issued against Rohit Godara, who came into notoriety following the sensational Gogamedi murder case in Rajasthan. Following Mumbai Police, the Delhi Police have ramped up efforts to locate the assailants, and their images have been circulated to all police stations.
A shooter possibly identified?
The man standing in the back in the CCTV footage could be Vishal, aka Kalu from Gurugram, Haryana. Kalu is known as a marksman for the infamous gangster Rohit Godara. He recently committed a murder in Rohtak, Haryana, where a bookie was shot dead, and the victim's mother was injured. Kalu has been absconding since the Rohtak murder case as well.
The Bandra Police has registered a case against two unknown individuals under IPC Section 307 (attempt to murder) and the Arms Act. This action was taken based on the testimony of Salman Khan's security guard. Sources report that the shooters abandoned their motorcycle in Bandra and fled by rickshaw. Police suspect the attackers have left Mumbai by now, and it is believed they may have crossed Dahisar checkpoint. These individuals may not be from Maharashtra, implying they could be external threats.
It's important to note that Salman has received life threats from gangsters Goldie Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi for several years now. Given previous attempts on his life, the recent open firing outside his home is being taken seriously.
Round-the-clock police vigilance outside Salman's house
Ever since Salman Khan began receiving written threats from gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar, the Mumbai Police equipped him with weaponry and security officers. Salman also has a personal firearm license, allowing him to keep a private weapon for his safety. His residence is under stringent 24-hour police surveillance, split into three shifts.
Salim Khan breaks silence
Salman's father, Salim Khan, addressed the firing incident stating that there's nothing to share and it seems to be a call for publicity. He downplays the situation, asserting there is no cause for alarm. Throughout these events, Salim Khan has always stood like a shield for his son. Salman's close friend and politician, Rahul Kanal, after meeting him, assured the paparazzi that Salman is perfectly fine. As per his words, the incident doesn't affect 'Bhai' at all.
