A startling murder case surfaces in Palamu district of Jharkhand, as police disclose the culprit to be the girl's own father. After beating his daughter to a tragic death, he concocted a secret burial with accomplices to evade law enforcement. Yet, three days later, police made headway, apprehending four suspects and launching a manhunt for the primary accused still at large.
Police retrieved the body of a 16-year-old buried recently in Palamu, 175 kilometers from Ranchi. In Saltua village, a shocking scene where a father's violent punishment led to his daughter's demise.
Palamu's Superintendent of Police, Reshma Ramesan, informed PTI that the retrieved body appears to be two or three days old. The body was sent for autopsy to MMC&H. The post-mortem is complete, but the report is awaited.
SP Ramesan indicated the apprehended individuals point to the girl's father's involvement in this atrocious crime, whom the police strive to locate.
The suspects revealed during interrogation that the absconding accused, enraged by his daughter's absence, engaged in a heated dispute upon her return. Under the influence of intoxicants, he brutally assaulted her, leading to her death. Villagers then helped him bury his daughter's body.
