In Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, a significant assembly of BJP's booth-level workers was organized at the Ramlila Grounds, with former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in attendance. He seized the opportunity to highlight that a century ago, Swami Vivekananda, named Narendra, gave the country and the world a new direction. Precisely 100 years later, today's Prime Minister, also named Narendra, has laid out fresh pathways not just for India, but for the entire world.
Shivraj Singh urged the workers to vigorously strive for each booth, aiming for a 90% voter turnout. Emphasizing that disillusioned Congress party members seeking a new political home are welcomed into the BJP, he further encouraged BJP workers to extend their hands to include those from the Congress. Launching an attack on Congress leadership, he painted them as having become irrelevant, with decisions that are haphazard and directionless. This discontent also manifested from within the party ranks when the invitation for the divine consecration in Ayodhya was rejected in writing, much to the chagrin of their own party workers.
During his nearly 45-minute rousing address, he appealed to the workers to surpass the winning margin from Vidisha Assembly in the coming elections, breaking the record set by Budhni. In a heartwarming gesture during the event, several children presented their piggy banks to Shivraj Singh, a symbolic offering for his election campaign.
