Secretary of the Samajwadi Party, Shivpal Singh Yadav, discussing their preparations for the upcoming general elections, stated that after the announcement of the candidates, he visited Badaun, Sahaswan, and now Gannaur. The atmosphere indicates a one-sided contest in this seat. The BJP has been successful in disrupting the elections, hence the party has strategically deployed us here and is positioning candidates similarly in other seats in Uttar Pradesh.

He further emphasized that defeating the BJP in Uttar Pradesh becomes even more crucial as it will lead to their loss in the national capital as well.

Referring to former CM Mulayam Singh Yadav, Shivpal mentioned that Netaji has contested from the Gunnaur seat several times and won the MP elections from Sambhal, Mainpuri, and Azamgarh. This seat has always been associated with Netaji's family. Now that he is nominated here, he anticipates a record-breaking win and believes the Samajwadi Party will dominate all five assembly constituencies.

'BJP has failed to develop...'

While discussing the decision to cut Dharmendra Yadav's ticket, Shivpal Yadav explained that such decisions are part of a larger strategy made by national leadership. He personally never considered contesting for MP and is focused on campaigning for multiple seats to ensure the defeat of the BJP.

On BSP fielding Muslim candidates against the SP, Shivpal confidently stated that despite any political maneuverings, the Yadav, Muslim, and backward communities are not going anywhere. Echoing a previous scenario at the Ghosi seat where SP prevailed despite the BJP deploying 30 ministers and two Deputy CMs, he believes the same unity will manifest in the current elections. He criticized the BJP for failing to initiate development, focusing solely on advertisements and riddled with leaked exam papers, causing distress to farmers, youth, and minorities amidst inflation and corruption.

What Shivpal Yadav said about Muslim voters?

Referencing AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi, Shivpal acknowledged that the Muslim community has always supported the Samajwadi Party from Netaji's era to the present. He vowed that they would unite under the India alliance to defeat the BJP and teach them a lesson this election.

Addressing BJP's attempts to involve the Mohan Yadav factor in UP, Shivpal was dismissive, stating that it would have no impact as farmers, laborers, women, and socialists are united. He believes caste barriers will break in the election, and the SP will triumph as they carry forward Netaji's legacy and the socialist movement.
