In these photos, Shikhar Dhawan of Punjab Kings (PBKS) was notably absent, igniting fan speculation on whether Punjab has announced a significant change in leadership. Instead, Jitesh Sharma filled in Dhawan's spot.

However, IPL's post clarified the situation, stating that while the photo featured captains from all 9 teams, Punjab was represented by vice-captain Jitesh Sharma.
