After the remarkable success of 'Operation Sindoor,' the central government is preparing to expose Pakistan on global platforms. The government has organized a team of 40 MPs divided into seven delegations to inform the world about Pakistan's major role in fostering terrorism. In response, Pakistan is mimicking India's initiative.

To fortify its global diplomacy, Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has been appointed. On Saturday, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assigned Bilawal the leadership of a high-level delegation to represent Pakistan's perspective on international fronts.

Pakistan’s Strategy and Bilawal's Role

On the other hand, a committee under Bilawal’s leadership has been formed, including former ministers Khurram Dastagir Khan, Hina Rabbani Khar, and former Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani. Bilawal expressed in a post, “Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif requested me to lead the delegation to advocate peace for Pakistan on the international stage. I am honored to accept this responsibility.”

Analysts believe this move is Pakistan's effort to clarify its stance globally and counterbalance India’s diplomatic strides. However, the effectiveness of Pakistan's initiative faces doubts amidst India's organized and multilateral efforts.

India's Legislative Team Formation

On Saturday, the Indian government also announced a similar initiative through the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, disclosing that Congress MP Shashi Tharoor and NCP MP Supriya Sule, among other senior leaders, will visit key global countries to represent India. Tharoor will travel to the USA, Panama, Guyana, Brazil, and Colombia, while Sule will visit Egypt, Qatar, Ethiopia, and South Africa.

The Indian delegation comprises ruling coalition and opposition members, including prominent names like Kanimozhi, Sanjay Jha, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Baijayant Panda, and Shrikant Shinde. Their goal is to effectively communicate India's position to international partners.

Central Minister Kiren Rijiju released a list on X indicating which MP will visit which country and who will be part of their delegation. Rijiju emphasized that this all-party delegation will present India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism to the global stage. The delegation will convey that India maintains a firm and united stance against terrorism in all its forms. This delegation includes MPs from various parties, key political figures, and senior diplomats.
