Saturday afternoon in Delhi-NCR was marked by a fierce storm, with powerful winds and driving rain. While bringing some much-needed relief from the heat, the storm caused significant damage across the city. Numerous trees were uprooted in several areas, turning serene streets into chaos. A wall from an under-construction building on Arakashan Road in Nabi Karim area collapsed.
Tragically, the collapse led to the deaths of three individuals and left three others injured. All individuals have been successfully recovered from the debris, and there are no reports of anyone else being trapped. The injured have been transferred to the hospital for treatment.
The scene was quickly attended by Delhi Police and Fire Brigade teams, who commenced rescue operations. Aam Aadmi Party MLA Imran Hussain shared details of the accident and urged authorities to provide compensation to the families of the deceased.
Identities of the Deceased
Among the three individuals who lost their lives, two were from Bihar and one from Uttar Pradesh. The victims included Prabhu, 65, and Niranjana, 40, both hailing from Munger, Bihar. Roshan, 35, a resident of Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh, also perished in this tragic incident.

AAP MLA Imran Hussain was informed of the incident around 5:30 PM. He was alerted about the wall collapse of an under-construction building, which led to fatalities. The injured were promptly admitted to the hospital for necessary medical care. Investigations will be conducted to determine the cause of the wall collapse.
NDRF and Dog Squad Team Arrives at the Scene
Following the collapse in the Paharganj area, teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Dog Squad arrived at the site of the incident.

Former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi expressed her deep sorrow and concern over the collapse incident in the Nabi Karim area of Paharganj.
