Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh is abuzz with a video spreading like wildfire. It's believed to feature the survivor's father from Asaram Bapu's case, who is seen claiming that his daughter falsely accused Asaram. Additionally, he appears to be apologizing. Following the complaint from the survivor's father, the police registered a case and commenced an investigation.

It was alleged that in 2013, Asaram Bapu had sexually assaulted her at his Jodhpur ashram when she was a minor of only 16 years. Currently, Asaram is serving a life sentence for the crime. However, the family of the survivor is distressed after the video's circulation, prompting a police investigation into the matter.

In the video, growing viral on social media, a person pleads, "Please forgive us. My daughter made false allegations." Superintendent of Police, Ashok Kumar Meena stated, "We have received a written complaint from the survivor's father stating that it's not him in the viral video. Efforts are being made to identify individuals involved in spreading the video on social media platforms."

Note that Asaram Bapu has already served an 11-year sentence in this case. However, he has tried multiple times to have the case dismissed and to get bail. Top lawyers such as Ram Jethmalani, Subramanian Swamy, and Salman Khurshid have defended him without success in securing release from Jodhpur Central Jail.

Asaram Bapu was arrested on 31st August 2013, and since then, he hasn't tasted the freedom of open air. Although the jail doors have opened for others, including celebrities like Salman Khan, who exited after three days, Asaram remains in custody despite his grievances.

Born on April 17, 1941, Asaram Bapu is now 83. He has repeatedly sought bail, release, and parole based on his age, but the courts have shown no leniency. He faces charges under 14 legal provisions encapsulated in a 1012-page charge sheet, supported by 140 witnesses. Despite the followers of Asaram still considering him innocent and demanding his release, police efforts seem to ensure his permanent residence in jail.
