In Panchkula's Sector-27, a heart-wrenching incident occurred where seven family members took poison in their car, ending their lives. Reports state that their bodies were discovered inside the vehicle parked on the roadside outside a house in Sector 27. According to the information, the family was heavily indebted, which compelled them to take this drastic step.
It is reported that Praveen Mittal, accompanied by his family, attended the Hanumant Katha event organized by Bageshwar Dham in Panchkula. Upon completion of the program, while returning home to Chandigarh, they made the tragic decision of a collective suicide. Among the deceased were Praveen Mittal, 42, his parents, wife, two daughters, and a son, which includes three children.
Suicide Note Recovered from the Scene
The police have recovered a suicide note from the location. They have since been diligently investigating the incident. The bodies are currently stored at a private hospital mortuary in Panchkula. DCP Himadri Kaushik and DCP Law and Order Amit Dahiya arrived at the scene to assist in the investigation. A forensic team has collected samples for examination.
The police revealed that they received information about the suicide of seven family members in Panchkula, Haryana. It was initially stated that the family resided in Dehradun. However, it was later discovered that the deceased, Praveen Mittal, son of Deshraj Mittal, had rented a home in Kolaghar, Dehradun until about 8-9 months ago, originally belonging to the Chandigarh area. The family no longer resides in Dehradun.
The vehicle found at the scene was registered under Gambi Singh Negi of Maldevta, Dehradun. Upon contacting Gambi Singh Negi, he disclosed that he met the deceased Praveen Mittal through NGO work. Praveen previously ran an NGO called Child Life Care Mission. During their friendship, Gambi Negi financed the vehicle in his name, which Praveen was using at the time of the incident. The family currently resided in Chandigarh.
