In a distressing incident in Telangana’s Secunderabad district, the revered Muthyalamma Temple suffered vandalism by unidentified individuals. Following this, tension surged in the Monda Market Division of the district. Reacting swiftly, local citizens apprehended a suspect in connection with the incident and handed him over to law enforcement. The police have assured a thorough investigation is underway.

It has been reported that along with the acts of vandalism, the idol within the Muthyalamma Temple was desecrated, escalating the anger and indignation among the locals. A significant number of people rallied at the temple to voice their fury. During this volatile period, the apprehended individual faced assault. To maintain order, the police have deployed additional forces.

Security Reinforced Around the Temple

ACP of the Mahakali Division has confirmed that an individual is in police custody as investigations begin to uncover the motives behind this act. Concurrently, security measures around the temple have been bolstered, and efforts to restore tranquillity continue.

Statement from BJP Legislator

In response to the incident, BJP MLA T. Raja Singh has urged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Police Commissioner to present facts contrasting those from previous incidents where the perpetrators were declared mentally unstable. Additionally, he has requested the police to investigate whether the individual acted alone or was aided by others.
