Joining this chain of wearables, Samsung has launched sneakers that connect to your phone, allowing for smart control right at your toes. Discover the intriguing details of these gadgets.

This week, Samsung unveiled the Shortcut, a limited edition sneaker, in partnership with Cheil Benelux, Elitac Wearables, Bruut Amsterdam, and sneaker designer Roel van Hoff.

These sneakers are equipped with special sensors that enable control over your phone, provided they are connected to a Samsung phone. According to the company, you could initiate phone calls or play music just by doing a moonwalk.

Using five different movements, you can perform five distinct actions. The company boasts about the algorithm's intelligence and the motion recognition's high accuracy. These sneakers, designed by the renowned Roel van Hoff, draw inspiration from the galaxy and universe.

The limited edition sneakers from Samsung are not for sale. The company has created only 6 units, intended for the members of their base in the Netherlands. Fans can participate in this contest via the Samsung Members app until 9 July, with the winner announced on 15 July.
