Following the violence in Sambhal on November 24, police implemented significant measures to hunt down the perpetrators. Led by SP Krishna Kumar Vishnoi and Additional SP, three separate teams scoured 13 houses near the residence of SP MP Ziaur Rahman Bark, sending shockwaves through the neighborhood.
During the raid, police uncovered over 90 packets of smack from a known criminal's house. In raids at two separate houses, two revolvers of 315 bore and cartridges were confiscated. One individual was arrested during this operation.
The violence erupted over a survey at the Shahi Jama Masjid, resulting in four deaths and numerous injuries. Rioters had set several vehicles on fire. Since then, police have been actively targeting those involved. An FIR has been filed against local MP Ziaur Rahman Bark, accused of inciting the violence.
Recently, SP Krishna Kumar Bishnoi and Additional SP stopped suspicious bikers 50 meters from Bark's residence. Elsewhere, CO Anuj Chaudhary led a force including RRF, RAF, and PAC to raid 13 homes around MP Bark’s residence with determination.
Significant raids were conducted at the residences of notorious criminals Mulla Ashad and Mulla Asim. Mulla Ashad's house yielded 93 smack packets. Additionally, two revolvers and live cartridges were seized from two homes. One person was arrested for having a revolver, while several were detained for questioning.
SP Krishna Kumar Vishnoi remarked on the coordinated raids with RAF, RRF, and PAC in 13 houses. Police extensively searched these homes, uncovering suspicious items in three. Mulla Ashad's home revealed 93 smack packets, while Tajwar and Mehber's residences had two 315 bore revolvers and cartridges, which have been sealed.
Those found at home during raids were taken for questioning. Actions will follow as per their involvement. Additionally, three dozen bike challans were issued and three bikes seized. So far, 39 rioters have been arrested in connection with the violence.
