In the district of Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, CO Anuj Chaudhary has been given a clean chit by the police following an investigation into allegations of misconduct regarding statements made during Holi and Eid celebrations. The police inquiry found no substantial evidence against CO Chaudhary. Based on the law and order report, CO Chaudhary was fully exonerated.
The report also indicated that statements from officials and residents of Sambhal district were recorded, none revealing negative details about CO Chaudhary. The complaint against him was lodged by social activist Amitabh Thakur, alleging that Chaudhary's remarks violated police conduct rules.
Activist Amitabh Thakur claimed that CO Chaudhary had stated in a peace committee meeting that 'Holi is celebrated once a year, but Friday prayers occur 52 times a year.' Chaudhary further added, 'If you want to enjoy Eid sevaiyan, you must also savor Holi gujiya.'

However, the police investigation did not substantiate these accusations. The law and order SP in the report clarified that no rules were violated, thus clearing CO Anuj Chaudhary of charges. The police report also included testimonies from the committee honoring Chaudhary and other local authorities, which dismissed any complaints against him. The police investigation into this matter is now concluded.
