Sambhal: BJP Leader Murdered with Poisonous Injection; Police Obtain Key Clues from CCTV

BJP leader Gulfam Singh Yadav in Sambhal district was killed in broad daylight by three bike-riding assailants with a poisonous injection. The attackers escaped, but police have discovered important leads from CCTV footage, hinting at imminent arrests.

In the village of Dabratha, located in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal district, BJP leader Gulfam Singh Yadav was shockingly murdered in broad daylight with a poisonous injection. The senior leader, aged 70, was at his home when three young men on bikes barged in and started a confrontation. Before he could grasp the situation, the assailants injected him with poison and fled.

His family rushed him to the Gunnaur Community Health Center, but due to his waning condition, he was referred to Aligarh. Unfortunately, he succumbed on the way. The Aligarh police conducted a post-mortem and have begun their investigation.

BJP Leader Administered Lethal Injection

Upon receiving the news of the incident, SP KK Bishnoi and CO Deepak Tiwari arrived at the scene to converse with family members. The police are reviewing nearby CCTV footage, with claims of new leads that could soon lead to the capture of the culprits.

In 2004, Gulfam Singh Yadav stood as a BJP candidate against Mulayam Singh Yadav in the Gunnaur assembly by-elections. He also held positions as the RSS district figurehead, BJP district secretary, and vice-president for BJP in western UP. His elder son, Divya Prakash, was formerly the block chief of Janabai block in Sambhal district.

Police Register Case and Initiate Investigation

According to SP KK Bishnoi, the police are close to apprehending the perpetrators and continue a comprehensive probe. Nearby CCTV cameras have been thoroughly checked. Significant clues have been gathered, promising prompt arrests of the murderers. This heinous act has left everyone stunned. The grieving family believes the murder was a result of an old enmity.
