The town of Rosra in Bihar's Samastipur district is rife with tension following the murder of an Ameen. The deceased has been identified as Ameen Tun Tun Raut. It is reported that he visited the village for land measurement belonging to Amarjeet Pandit of Lajja Ghat. After completing the measurement during the day, Tun Tun Raut set off home. However, that journey marked his life's end. He mysteriously disappeared upon leaving the village.
Didn't return home by late night
After he failed to return by late night, his family grew deeply concerned. Initially, they searched nearby and contacted relatives. His mobile phone was unreachable, compounding their worries. The family spent the night anxious and on edge but found no leads. As a last resort, they reported his disappearance at Lajja Ghat police station, not knowing the situation would turn so grave.
Body found in field
On Wednesday morning, a report came in about a body found in a field near Mabbi village within the Rosra police area. Upon local arrival at the site, the body was identified as that of Ameen Tun Tun Raut. News of the body discovery quickly spread, causing uproar throughout the region. A throng of locals arrived at the scene, all questioning who and why someone killed the gentle-natured Ameen.
Police arrive on the scene
As soon as the event was reported, Rosra police arrived on site and took custody of the body. The incident scene was secured, inviting the FSL team for a scientific investigation. Initially, no external injuries were found on the body. However, its condition clearly indicated strangulation.

The body has been sent to the Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. It’s believed this report will verify the true cause of death. Currently, the motive behind the murder remains unclear. Police claim to solve the case soon
Samastipur SP Arvind Pratap Singh released a statement suggesting that the prima facie indicates a strangulation murder case. He mentioned that police are investigating all aspects comprehensively. Further action will be based on the FSL and post-mortem reports. The SP assures a resolution of the murder case soon.
