Actor Saif Ali Khan has been discharged from Lilavati Hospital. His wife Kareena Kapoor and daughter Sara Ali Khan were there to escort him home. Wearing a white shirt and blue denim, Saif left the hospital stylishly wearing his sunglasses. He had a black bandage on his hand and neck. Saif waved a thumbs-up to the paparazzi as he left in his black Porsche, accompanied by Mumbai police officers. The actor ensured tight security on his way home.
The actor was admitted on the night of January 16 after sustaining injuries from a knife during a home intrusion. At around 2 AM, a thief broke into Saif's home. After a scuffle, Saif was left injured. The intruder attacked the actor with a knife six times, resulting in two deep wounds.

Saif Ali Khan Seriously Injured
Saif Ali Khan, wounded, was admitted to Lilavati Hospital where he underwent surgery. The actor had a 2.5-inch knife fragment lodged near his spine, which doctors surgically removed. Dr. Nitin Dange from Lilavati Hospital stated that Saif had four deep wounds that were treated. Dr. Neena Jain and her plastic surgery team have tended to Saif’s neck and hand wounds. He has been advised to minimize movement for several weeks due to risk of infection in his spine operation.

Security Tightened at Saif's Residence
In light of the recent breach on January 16, significant security measures are underway at Saif Ali Khan's residence. Saif lives on the 7th floor of a building named Sadhguru Sharan. CCTV cameras are being installed, and window grills are being attached. Kareena Kapoor Khan’s bodyguard and Mumbai police are stationed outside. The Attacker Caught
The culprit who attacked Saif Ali Khan has been identified by Mumbai police. The assailant, named Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad, is reportedly from Bangladesh. Currently, Shariful is in police custody and subject to interrogation. He has made several significant revelations. It is reported that Shariful intended to commit theft to obtain an Indian identity card but changed his plan to return to Bangladesh with the stolen money.
During questioning, the accused admitted to entering Saif Ali Khan's residence with the intent of theft. Initial investigations show Shariful used the stairs to reach the 7th floor, where Saif and his family reside. He accessed the duct area and climbed up to the 12th floor via a pipe, entering the actor's flat through the bathroom window.
As he emerged from the bathroom, a female staff member confronted him, causing her to shout, drawing Saif and Kareena’s attention. A struggle between Saif and the intruder ensued, during which the actor was stabbed. Saif was urgently taken to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent two surgeries over six hours. The actor is now recovering well.
