Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked. An unidentified person broke into the actor's Mumbai home at 2 AM and attacked him with a sharp weapon, inflicting six wounds. Currently, Saif Ali Khan is admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. The Mumbai Police are investigating to find out who committed the attack and why.
According to Mumbai Police, around 2 AM, an unidentified person broke into the actor's home and started arguing with the maid. Saif Ali Khan intervened to calm the situation, but in a fit of anger, the intruder attacked him instead. A physical scuffle ensued, during which Saif was stabbed six times with a sharp object. Fortunately, Saif's condition is currently reported to be out of danger.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan doesn't make Mumbai an "unsafe city." Responding to former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal's remarks, Fadnavis said, "It is incorrect to label Mumbai as unsafe based on a single incident. Mumbai is a megacity and one of the safest cities."
Chief Minister Fadnavis also remarked that authorities have received all information regarding the possible motive behind the attack. Mumbai, amongst major cities, remains one of the safest, despite occasional incidents that need to be taken seriously but do not define the city's safety. The police have taken the incident seriously and have set up multiple teams to investigate.
A complaint has been filed by Saif Ali Khan's house servant against the unidentified intruder for unauthorized entry and attempted murder. It is reported that the intruder's images were captured on the 6th-floor CCTV of the building while Saif lives on the 12th floor.
The Mumbai Crime Branch has brought the maid working at Saif's house to the police station for questioning.
When the accused entered the house, the maid saw them and screamed. Saif Ali Khan, who was present in the house, rushed there, which led to a scuffle. The maid was also injured during the incident.

Mumbai Crime Branch Deputy Commissioner Dixit Gedam stated that information about the attack came around 3 AM, and Saif is currently undergoing treatment. While communication hasn't occurred yet, the investigation continues. A female staff member was injured during the attack but is currently okay. Saif is also out of danger.
Mumbai Police reported that no one was seen entering in CCTV footage two hours prior to the incident. Police suspect the attacker was already inside the building.

According to sources, Saif Ali Khan has injuries on his neck and near the spine. The wound near the spine is slightly deep. The maid at Saif's home also suffered minor injuries. It's revealed that there is a duct in their house that opens into the bedroom. Police suspect that the thief might have entered through this duct. Interestingly, the attack on Saif occurred in the children's room.

Sources reveal that during the incident, the entire family, including Kareena Kapoor Khan and their children Taimur and Jeh, were at home. It's reported that actor Saif Ali Khan confronted the intruder to protect his family. An official statement from Saif's team states that there was an attempted burglary at Saif's home. He has undergone surgery in the hospital.

It's reported that the intruder fled after attempting to assault Saif. The children's nanny was the first to hear the commotion and alerted everyone. Saif tried to apprehend the assailant to protect his family, after which he was taken to Lilavati Hospital.

Lilavati Hospital's statement
Lilavati Hospital issued a statement on Saif Ali Khan's condition. CEO Dr. Neeraj Uttamani said, 'An unidentified person stabbed Saif Ali Khan with a sharp object at his Bandra residence. Saif was brought to the hospital at 3:30 AM. He received six stab wounds, resulting in two deep cuts, with one near the spine. A team of neurosurgeon, cosmetic surgeon, and anaesthetist doctors is performing the operation. The neurosurgery was successfully completed. Sharp objects, measuring approximately 2 to 3 inches, have been removed from Saif's body. It is believed to be part of the weapon. Cosmetic surgery is currently underway. After the attack, Kareena Kapoor Khan arrived at the hospital with her sister Karisma Kapoor at 4:30 AM. Both left when Saif was taken in for surgery.
