First Change: LPG Prices
Every month, oil marketing companies adjust LPG cylinder prices (LPG Cylinder Price) on the first day, and new rates will be announced on August 1, 2024, starting from 6 AM. Recently, we've seen several adjustments in the prices of 19-kg commercial gas cylinders, while the 14-kg domestic gas cylinder prices have remained stable. On the first day of July, the price of the Commercial LPG Cylinder was reduced by 30 rupees in the capital city, Delhi. This time, consumers are hoping for a relief in domestic cylinder prices.
Second Change: New ATF and CNG-PNG Rates
Along with LPG cylinder prices, oil marketing companies will also revise prices for aviation turbine fuel (ATF) and CNG-PNG on the first day of every month. New prices will be announced on August 1, 2024. It’s noteworthy that ATF prices were slashed in April this year.

Third Change: HDFC Bank Credit Card
For HDFC Bank credit card users, August 1st will bring changes. If you use HDFC Bank credit cards for rent payments via third-party apps such as CRED, Paytm, Mobikwik, and Freecharge, a 1% charge will be applied to each transaction, with a transaction limit set at 3,000 rupees. Fuel transactions below 15,000 rupees won’t incur additional charges; however, for transactions above this amount, a 1% fee on the total amount will be charged.
Fourth Change: Google Maps Charges
Google Maps is also set to undergo changes from August 1, 2024, across India. The world's largest search engine has announced a reduction of up to 70% in its Google Maps service charges in India. Moreover, Google will now accept payments in Indian rupees instead of dollars.

Fifth Change: 13-Day Bank Holiday
If you have bank-related tasks to attend to in August, it's wise to check the bank holiday list released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) before heading out. According to the August Bank Holiday List, there will be 13 days of no banking operations due to festivals like Raksha Bandhan, Janmashtami, and Independence Day. These holidays include the second and fourth Saturdays, as well as Sundays.
