Encounter Between Security Forces and Terrorists in Kulgam's Guddar; Suspicion of 2-3 Terrorists Hiding

In Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district, an intense encounter is unfolding between security forces and terrorists in the Guddar area. Reports suggest that as the search operation was underway, hiding terrorists began firing, escalating the gunfight. It is suspected that 2 to 3 terrorists are concealed in the area. Currently, the forces have encircled the region and the operation is ongoing.

Amidst the search, it has been reported that three soldiers have been injured due to the gunfire, one of whom is an army officer. The wounded have been promptly transported to the hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, during the ongoing encounter, in Jammu’s R.S. Pura sector, the Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended a Pakistani national near the international border. According to the information, BSF troops noticed suspicious activity near the border post late last evening. A swift search operation was initiated, leading to the arrest of a Pakistani individual.

The individual was immediately detained on-site, and interrogation commenced. Investigations are in progress to determine his identity and motive for crossing the border. BSF officials state that only after initial inquiries will more information about his intentions and background be revealed. In light of security concerns, patrol and surveillance have been intensified in the area.
