The head of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Mohan Bhagwat, emphasized on Tuesday that the people of undivided India are connected through shared ancient traditions. He pointed out that the DNA of all who have dwelled in this vast region for 40,000 years remains the same.

Speaking at the '100 Years Journey of RSS: New Horizons' event in Vigyan Bhavan, attended by renowned figures across fields, Bhagwat outlined Hinduism with a focus on geography and tradition. He noted that some people refuse to identify as Hindus knowingly, while others aren't aware of their roots.

According to PTI, Bhagwat asserted, “Our DNA is unified. Living in harmony is intrinsic to our culture. It transcends geography; devotion to Mother India and ancestral traditions unite us.”

'RSS Aims to Make India a Global Leader'

Bhagwat remarked that in its 75 years of independence, India hasn’t reached its rightful place. He clarified that the RSS is dedicated to elevating India to a 'global guru' status, emphasizing the need for the nation to contribute on the world stage.

He stressed the necessity of social transformation for national advancement. It's not a task for an individual alone. Everyone has a role, with leaders, governments, and political parties playing supportive roles. However, key changes involve societal evolution and gradual progression.

'The Term Hindu Was Used by Outsiders…'

The RSS leader mentioned that historically, Indians did not engage in discrimination; they understood that all people and the cosmos are linked by the same divine force. The term 'Hindu' was used by outsiders to describe Indians. Hindus follow their own path and show respect to others, preferring harmony over conflict.

Earlier, the All India Publicity Head of RSS, Sunil Ambekar, announced that during the three-day lecture series, Mohan Bhagwat would interact with leading figures from various community segments and share his views on the country's pivotal issues.
