RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat is on a visit to Manipur. On Friday, he spoke about the power of civilization, society, and the nation. During his address, Bhagwat remarked on establishing a fundamental societal network that ensures the survival of Hindu society. 'Without Hindus, the world will not endure.'
Bhagwat stated, 'We all must consider circumstances. Situations arise and subside. Various conditions have affected countries worldwide; some nations have perished as a result. Greece, Egypt, and Rome have all faded away, yet there’s something that keeps our essence alive.'
'Without Hindus, the World Will Not Survive'
He continued, 'India is synonymous with an immortal society, an eternal civilization. Others came, shone, and departed. But we observed the rise and fall of them all. We are still here and will remain because we established a basic network within our society. This ensures the Hindu community's longevity. Without Hindus, the world is doomed. Hindu society consistently provides the world with the correct interpretation and guidance of religion—this is our divine duty.
'The Sun Set on the British Empire in India'
Bhagwat mentioned that every issue can be resolved. Citing the example of the elimination of Naxalism, he said that when society decided that it would no longer tolerate it, it ceased to exist. He added, 'The sun never set on the British Empire. But in India, their sunset began. It took us 90 years of effort. From 1857 to 1947, we continuously fought for our freedom. Our voice was never silenced. It sometimes weakened, sometimes grew stronger, but we never let it be suppressed.'
'Our Economy Should Be Self-Reliant'
Emphasizing economic independence, Bhagwat stated that the nation should rely on no one. He stressed, 'Our economy must be entirely self-sufficient. We should be dependent on nobody. We need to enhance our economic capability, military strength, and knowledge capacity. Our aim must be to ensure the country remains secure and prosperous, with no citizen experiencing distress, poverty, or unemployment. Everyone should work for the nation and live life joyfully.'
