Held on May 1st, Thursday, at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, the former MI captain, Rohit Sharma, put on a spectacular show with the bat. He scored 53 runs off just 36 balls, featuring 9 boundaries.

During this innings, Rohit Sharma, alongside South African player Ryan Rickelton, crafted a remarkable 116-run partnership for the first wicket. Sharma etched his name in the record books by completing 6,000 runs in T20 cricket for Mumbai Indians, becoming the first batsman to do so for the team.

Currently, Rohit Sharma has accumulated a massive 6,024 runs in 231 matches (including Champions League) for Mumbai Indians. His exploits include smashing 2 centuries and 39 half-centuries. Sharma is the second Indian to surpass 6,000 runs for a single team in T20 cricket, a feat first achieved by Virat Kohli. Notably, Kohli leads as the highest T20 run-scorer for one team, amassing a staggering 8,871 runs for Royal Challengers Bangalore, leaving Sharma trailing in this aspect.
