Operation Sindoor Airstrike on Pakistan Terror Camps:
In a powerful response to the Pahalgam terror attack, India conducted precise airstrikes on nine key terror hideouts of Lashkar, Jaish, and Hizbul Mujahedeen in Pakistan. The overnight operation decimated all strategic locations, sending shockwaves among the terror leaders who never anticipated India's strategic strike. Many of these leaders are now grappling with the aftermath. Let's delve into how India's military avenged the atrocities and struck these terror masters.
1. Hafiz Muhammad Saeed (Lashkar-e-Taiba)
As the orchestrator of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, Hafiz Saeed had three major bases—Muridke, Sawai Nalla, and Markaz Ahle Hadith in Barnala. All were wiped out in the airstrikes carried out by Indian Air Forces.
The Muridke camp, pivotal as Lashkar's ideological hub, sat only 30 km from the International Border.
Sawai Nalla and Barnala sites were notorious for arms, drones, and IED training.
Impact:
Hafiz Saeed's network is shattered. His base for training new recruits and planning anti-India activities is obliterated.
2. Masood Azhar (Jaish-e-Mohammed)
Responsible for the Pulwama attack, Jaish leader Masood Azhar faced tremendous setbacks. The Bahawalpur headquarters, Sarjal, Bilal camp, and Kotli launchpad were demolished as targets.
The Bahawalpur hub, key to Jaish's operations, was positioned 100 km from the International Border. It lies in ruins now.
Impact:
Recruitment and suicide attack planning under Maulana Masood Azhar have ceased, and Jaish lost 70% of its operational capability.
3. Syed Salahuddin (Hizbul Mujahideen)
Following the strikes, chief of Hizbul Mujahideen, Syed Salahuddin, finds himself in a vulnerable state. Key bases at Kotli, Mehmuna Zoya (Sialkot), and Raheel Shahid camp were obliterated.
Notably, Hizbul's bases were just 10-15 km from the LoC, fully blocking infiltration routes.
Impact:
With infiltration pathways choked and training camps decimated, this terrorist outfit's backbone is broken.
'Operation Sindoor' is hailed as India's most precise military strike yet, sending a diplomatic message that India can strike at its adversaries' strongholds. The shockwaves felt by Azhar, Saeed, and Salahuddin are irreversible.

10 Family Members of Masood Azhar Killed
During operation Sindoor, the Indian airstrike led to the deaths of Masood Azhar's 10 family members. In his statement, Azhar admitted the loss of four close associates too.
Saddened by these events, Masood Azhar lamented that it would have been better if he had perished too. Jaish-e-Mohammed confirmed that it suffered significant family losses, including the extended family of Maulana Kashaf and descendants of Mufti Abdul Rauf.
This airstrike claimed many lives, mainly women and children, and the deceased's burial took place promptly.
Earlier, the Indian armed forces executed precisely guided missile strikes on nine terror hubs, including Jaish's fortress in Bahawalpur. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri highlighted that India's mission was precise, limited, and non-escalatory, condemning the brutal Pahalgam attacks.
Night Operation Execution
Colonel Sophia Qureshi briefed the operation was executed between 1:05 AM and 1:30 AM on the night of May 6-7, 2025. The operation, aiming to deliver justice to victims of the April 22 Pahalgam attack, avoided civilian and military targets. Nine terrorist bases were systematically dismantled.
The defense ministry reported, “The Indian armed forces initiated ‘Operation Sindoor’ against terrorist structures in Pakistan and Jammu-Kashmir under Pakistani control, validating terror plots against India. A total of nine targets were struck.”
