The political landscape is heating up with parties nominating candidates; while names for various constituencies are being unveiled, the Congress party has yet to announce a candidate for its stronghold, Amethi. In the midst of this, Gandhi family son-in-law Robert Vadra has addressed the topic of Amethi, expressing that there is a demand for him to represent Amethi or any corner of the nation.

In an interview with news agency ANI, Vadra was asked about the possibility of him running from Amethi. He responded, 'If I decide to become an MP, the people of Amethi expect me to represent their constituency. The Gandhi family has worked tirelessly in Raebareli, Amethi, and Sultanpur for years. The people of Amethi are truly disappointed with the current MP (Smriti Irani) and feel they made a mistake by electing her.'

Vadra added, 'The people of Amethi realize the mistake of bringing Smriti Ji to victory. They want a member of the Gandhi family to now contend the elections. Their hopeful eyes are set on me.'

Vadra continued, affirming that regardless of the Congress party's choice, the candidacy will be potent enough to confront the BJP. He stated, 'Whether from the Gandhi family or another Congress aspirant, what Smriti Irani failed to do, they should bring progress and hard work. I cannot specifically comment on what Priyanka thinks or what others think.'

Demand from every direction: Vadra

He noted that there is a demand from all sides for him (Robert Vadra) to represent Amethi or another part of the country because the call for the Gandhi family and for me is coming from everywhere.

When asked about his election aspirations, Vadra said, 'If I enter politics, or represent any field, there will be progress and the legacy of the Gandhi family will grow, and I will work with a dedicated heart. I always want Priyanka to become an MP and enter the Parliament, then I may also join (politics), but I feel that whatever I become, I should earn it through my own hard work. Being always in the company of MPs and leaders, there are also offers to join their party with blessings from Sonia Gandhi and the Congress party.'
