RJD agrees on making Rahul the PM, but why not Tejashwi as Bihar CM?

Tejashwi Yadav openly supports making Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister, but why does Rahul Gandhi hesitate to endorse Tejashwi as the face for the Chief Minister in Bihar elections? Even Lalu Yadav has expressed his support for Rahul becoming the 'groom' – is it a lack of trust or part of Rahul Gandhi's strategy?

Rahul Gandhi is thoroughly enjoying the Voter Rights Journey. Enjoyment is crucial for success in any task, and that's why he remained steadfast from Kanyakumari to Kashmir during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Initially, there were doubts about Rahul Gandhi's commitment, given his previous lack of dedication to projects. However, he later initiated and completed the Justice Journey with resolve.

Joining Rahul Gandhi in the Voter Rights Journey are Tejashwi Yadav and leaders of the Grand Coalition. This isn't just a Congress journey; it's a collective effort of the opposition alliance known as the India Block in Bihar. Yet, there appears to be an impression that Rahul Gandhi is attempting to overshadow the group's collective efforts.

Recently, the journey made headlines due to several mishaps. Two security personnel were injured in separate incidents related to the convoy. Additionally, an unexpected incident occurred when a young man kissed Rahul Gandhi during the convoy's transformation into a bullet journey.

Social media began questioning who was leading the bullet journey: Rahul Gandhi or Tejashwi Yadav? Such queries arise from the behavior exhibited by both leaders towards each other.

During the journey, Tejashwi Yadav frequently refers to Rahul Gandhi as an elder brother. He even referred to Chirag Paswan in the same manner during the journey. Yet, it seems like a way to deflect questions. When asked about Chirag Paswan by the media, Tejashwi Yadav dismissed him as a non-issue, adding, "I would advise him as an elder brother to get married soon."

Tejashwi's remark prompted a reaction from Rahul Gandhi, who laughed and said, "That applies to me too." Tejashwi responded quickly, "That advice has already been given to you by my father." Earlier, at an India Block meeting in Patna, Lalu Yadav had told Rahul Gandhi, "Become the groom, and we will take on the role of the wedding party."

This issue raises questions about Rahul Gandhi's intentions during the Voter Rights Journey. Tejashwi Yadav has now clearly stated his desire for Rahul Gandhi to become the Prime Minister. However, Rahul Gandhi remains hesitant to declare Tejashwi Yadav as the face of the Grand Coalition in the Bihar elections.

Is Rahul Gandhi afraid of Tejashwi?

During the Voter Rights Journey, questions posed to Rahul Gandhi have also been asked of fellow Congress leaders, like Bihar in-charge Krishna Allavaru and Bihar Congress President Rajesh Kumar. Each time, the question is deflected, often attributed to the responsibility of the RJD. While this seems accurate, the ongoing events suggest that the RJD is waiting for Congress's green light. On a couple of occasions, Congress leaders cited Tejashwi Yadav's role as head of the election campaign committee.

In a press conference, when the media remarked about the good coordination during the journey, Rahul Gandhi agreed, saying, "Yes, absolutely." It was also noted that Tejashwi Yadav has declared Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister if the India Block forms the government. The question was, why doesn't the Congress announce Tejashwi Yadav as the CM face in Bihar?

Rahul Gandhi responded, "Our partnership is excellent, no tension, there's mutual respect and support, which makes it enjoyable. Politically and ideologically, we are aligned, and we'll achieve good results." However, like other Congress leaders, Rahul Gandhi avoided directly addressing the question – but why?

What can be inferred when Tejashwi Yadav exhibits unwavering allegiance and respect toward Rahul Gandhi, calling him an elder brother and openly supporting his Prime Ministerial bid? Why doesn't Rahul Gandhi reciprocate similarly for Tejashwi?

Does Rahul Gandhi harbor doubts about Tejashwi Yadav? Why is he hesitant to express trust when Tejashwi leaves no stone unturned in showing his loyalty?

Why the 'groom’s uncle' behavior?

The question remains, why the 'groom’s uncle' attitude? And why, when applying Tejashwi Yadav's statement to himself, Rahul Gandhi doesn’t wish to let the RJD leader become the 'groom'? Tejashwi Yadav isn't posing a challenge like Nitish Kumar, Mamata Banerjee, or Arvind Kejriwal.

Lalu Yadav had affirmatively mentioned Nitish Kumar's Prime Ministerial potential, but the sentiments were different. When advising Rahul Gandhi to become the 'groom,' he aimed to clip Nitish Kumar's wings.

When Nitish Kumar was made the leader of the Grand Coalition in 2015, Lalu Yadav reluctantly accepted, citing it as 'drinking poison.' Asked later if Nitish Kumar could become Prime Minister, he responded with 'Is there any doubt?'

Everyone knows that someone who doesn’t want Nitish Kumar to remain Bihar’s Chief Minister will not elevate him to Prime Minister. All of Lalu Yadav’s efforts seem centered around making Tejashwi Yadav the Chief Minister, and Rahul Gandhi does not appear to be an obstacle, as he has no interest in the Bihar Chief Ministership. It mirrors Lalu Yadav's support for Sonia Gandhi over the foreign-origin issue and his current backing of Tejashwi Yadav.

Nowadays, the grumbles of the 'groom’s uncle' at weddings are a popular topic of discussion. Social media often cites this as an example, with numerous reels and shorts. While complaints have always surrounded the groom issue, it’s puzzling why the political scene's designated 'groom' is acting like the 'uncle.' In Tejashwi's case, Rahul Gandhi’s stance resembles this notion, even though he claims to enjoy the journey with Tejashwi.
