Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, has launched its new tablet in the market. The company has introduced the Redmi Pad Pro 5G. This tablet comes with a powerful processor at an affordable price. The brand has used a metal body, which is quite rare these days. The device runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor.

Its price makes it quite an interesting option. We have been using the Redmi Pad Pro 5G for a few days and have prepared our review. Let's see how much this tablet has to offer.

It features a metal design. The tablet comes with a display that has large bezels. It offers an LCD display. On the rear side, you'll find a single camera, but its design mimics a dual-camera setup. However, it has only one rear camera. Overall, the design looks good.

It has four speakers. Fortunately, the brand has included a 3.5mm audio jack. For charging, it has a USB Type-C port. However, it lacks a fingerprint sensor, which should have been included for security purposes.

The Redmi Pad Pro 5G features a 12.1-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It offers 600 nits of peak brightness. The display is quite bright and performs well in real-life usage, not just on paper. The colors on the screen look vibrant.

The 120Hz refresh rate also means you can do gaming on this device. However, due to the larger screen size, gaming might not be very comfortable on this tablet. For screen protection, it uses Gorilla Glass 3. Overall, the screen is bright and vibrant.

The tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, offering excellent performance. The device is available in both Wi-Fi and SIM support options. The Wi-Fi variant comes only with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, whereas higher variants include SIM support as well.

You can use either two SIM cards or one SIM card and a microSD card. You can perform your daily tasks easily on this device. It also has some special apps like Mi Canvas, where you can create stuff using a stylus. It can be used for drawing as well and works fine without a stylus.

It's good to see that Xiaomi has not preloaded any unnecessary apps or bloatware. We wish the company would do the same with their smartphones. The device runs on Xiaomi's Hyper OS based on Android 14. Overall, it offers good performance within its budget.

The device has a single 8MP rear camera, and the front also has an 8MP camera. The camera quality is average. Tablets usually don't focus on camera quality. If you want a device with a good camera, this is not the option for you; you should opt for a smartphone instead.

It has a 10000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. You can use the device for a long time on a single charge. It's also not used as frequently as a smartphone, so the battery life is generally longer.

It has quad speakers that offer good sound output. Additionally, you can purchase a stylus and keyboard with the tablet. However, we didn't like the keyboard much. There is no magnetic connector for charging the stylus. Both the keyboard and stylus need to be charged separately and have Type-C charging ports.

If you want a powerful tablet, Redmi Pad Pro 5G is a good option within its budget. However, we didn't like the accessories that come with it. Whether it’s the stylus or the keyboard, both need to be connected via Bluetooth and charged separately. It seems the company focused only on making the tablet and not the accessories.

The Wi-Fi variant is priced at 21,999 rupees, while the SIM card variant starts at 24,999 rupees. You would need to spend extra money for the accessories. Even though we didn't like the accessories much, the Redmi Pad Pro 5G itself is a good option.
