The political landscape in India is currently simmering with debates revolving around the architect of the Constitution, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Congress and other opposition parties have locked horns with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), disputing the statement made by Home Minister Amit Shah in Parliament regarding Dr. Ambedkar. Accusations of dishonoring Dr. Ambedkar have been hurled at the Home Minister, with demands for an apology and resignation. Meanwhile, the BJP has retaliated with counterclaims. Former minister Ravi Shankar Prasad accuses Congress of orchestrating a drama.
During a press conference on Monday, Ravi Shankar Prasad targeted the Grand Old Party, accusing the Congress of performing theatrics nationwide. He pointed out that the same Congress had ensured Dr. Ambedkar's defeat in the 1952 and 1954 elections, forced his resignation as Law Minister, and denied him the Bharat Ratna, now feigning affection for him. Prasad attacked Congress for hypocrisy and demanded a public apology from them regarding Dr. Ambedkar.
Prasad highlighted that after resigning, Dr. Ambedkar wasn't even allowed to speak and had to resort to issuing a press release. In that release, Ambedkar declared his competence in finance, industry, and law, yet he was obstructed from performing effectively. The Hindu Code Bill was never brought forth. Ambedkar mentioned that protection was not extended to the SC and ST communities but was only given to Muslims. Ravi Shankar Prasad questioned why Congress hasn't made Ambedkar's letters public.

The former minister unleashed a series of questions towards Congress concerning Dr. Ambedkar, inquiring when they would cease their deceit and theatrical display. Ravi Shankar Prasad criticized Congress's failure to establish a memorial for Ambedkar. He praised Prime Minister Modi's tenure for actualizing the Ambedkar International Memorial, a project initiated by Chandrashekhar, but only realized under Modi's governance. Prasad alleged that Congress extracted a section of Amit Shah's statement for political mileage without understanding the full context.

Ravi Shankar Prasad asserted that the public fully grasps the situation. He also directed criticism at Delhi's ruling Aam Aadmi Party and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. In the ongoing narrative concerning Purvanchalis, Prasad reminded that it was Kejriwal who, during the COVID crisis, urged the people from Purvanchal to return home.
