Following Jay's reaction, Mahhi also addressed the issue in a viral post. She reprimanded those trying to tarnish her image through an extensive video on Instagram. Mahhi clarified that she has been posting about Nadeem for six years, during which her daughter has called him 'dad.'
The decision was mutual between her and Jay Bhanushali. Mahhi expressed that the term 'dad' was presented in a derogatory manner. Although she is going through a difficult time, the rumors against her were demeaning. She felt ashamed of those who attempted to tarnish her reputation.
Mahhi further stated that people commonly express love to dear friends or siblings. She mentioned that half of the comments on her post are fake, suspecting a negative PR campaign might be against her, but she won't allow it. Seeing her best friend's name, and moral nature, being dragged in such a manner was hurtful to both herself and Jay Bhanushali. The actress concluded by stating it's wrong to malign such sacred relationships.
