The city of Rajkot in Gujarat is reeling from a severe blaze at the TRP Game Zone, which has tragically claimed the lives of 24 people, including 9 children. Gujarat's Home State Minister Harsh Sanghvi has confirmed the death toll of 24, among whom 9 are kids.
The fire department, with 8 trucks, swiftly arrived at the scene. Rescue operations are underway to control the flames and search for those feared trapped. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
Following the Rajkot blaze, police action has been taken. Police have arrested 3 individuals including the operator and owner of the Rajkot Game Zone. A special investigation team (SIT) led by senior IPS officer Subhash Trivedi will conduct a thorough inquiry.
'Director-General of Police issues directives'
In response to the Rajkot fire incident, the state's Director-General of Police has directed police commissioners and district superintendents to inspect all game zones and shut down any operating without fire safety permits.
The DGP called on municipal corporations and their firefighters, in coordination with local governance, to execute this directive issued in the wake of the Rajkot game zone fire incident.

20 bodies recovered from TRP Game Zone
Rajkot's Police Commissioner Raju Bhargav stated, 'A fire broke out at the TRP Gaming Zone this afternoon. Rescue efforts are ongoing, and the fire is under control. Until now, 20 bodies have been recovered and sent for forensic examinations.'
'FIR to be filed against gaming zone owner'
We are striving to salvage as many victims as possible. The gaming zone's ownership belongs to an individual named Yuvraj Singh Solanki. An FIR will be filed against him for negligence leading to these deaths. Further investigations will proceed after completion of the current rescue operation.
