Raja Bhaiya, the influential legislator from Kunda and president of the Jan Satta Party Democratic, has made a significant decision regarding the Lok Sabha election. He has refused to endorse any party, a move that is reportedly based on the demands of his supporters.
At an electoral meeting in Benti on Tuesday, his supporters expressed their wish for him not to back any party. Subsequently, he decided that his party, the Jan Satta Party Democratic, would not support any candidate in the Pratapgarh and Kaushambi Lok Sabha seats. He also appealed to the citizens of Kunda and Babaganj to vote for competent candidates.
He claimed that the voters of Kunda and Babaganj assembly constituencies are decisive in determining the outcome of the Pratapgarh Lok Sabha seat.
A Meeting with Amit Shah
Last week, Raja Bhaiya met with Home Minister Amit Shah in Bengaluru. His discussion with the Home Minister had sparked political speculation about his potential support for the BJP. However, after today's meeting in Benti, he clarified that he would not support any party in the Lok Sabha elections.
SP, BSP, and BJP had sought support
The Kunda MLA revealed that SP, BSP, and BJP had sought his support, but following his supporters' call for non-alignment, he took this decisive stance. His decision to not endorse any party has sent ripples across the political spectrum.
With four phases of the Lok Sabha election completed, voting has been concluded for 39 seats. The remaining phases will cover the rest of the seats, including Pratapgarh, which will vote in the sixth phase on May 25th.
Raja Bhaiya Founded Party in 2018
Raja Bhaiya established the Jan Satta Party Democratic in 2018 and fielded candidates in two seats during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Despite their efforts, Akshay Pratap Singh from Pratapgarh and Shailendra Kumar from Kaushambi did not secure wins, finishing in fourth and third places, respectively. The party also ran candidates in 24 seats during the 2022 assembly elections, achieving victory in Kunda and Babaganj. Raja Bhaiya won from Kunda for the seventh time, while Vinod Saroj won the Babaganj seat for the fourth time.
