The Indian government has announced the conferment of the Bharat Ratna, the nation's highest civilian honor, posthumously to former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao, Chaudhary Charan Singh, and the late scientist M.S. Swaminathan. Amidst this, Raj Thackeray, the leader of the MNS, has called for Balasaheb Thackeray to also be awarded the Bharat Ratna. "These great leaders, like the late Rao and Swaminathan, father of the Indian Green Revolution, have now been acknowledged with India's top accolade – an honor they truly deserved during their lifetimes," he remarked.

Raj Thackeray insisted, 'If the BJP-led central government has shown such political broadmindedness by bestowing this prestigious award to these distinguished individuals, then it should extend the same courtesy to Balasaheb Thackeray as well.'

'This one-of-a-kind leader, who ignited a spark of pride among Hindus nationwide and was an esteemed cartoonist, rightfully deserves this accolade. It would be a joyous moment for myself and others who've been inspired by Balasaheb's ideology,' Thackeray added.

Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP, and Navneet Rana, MP from Amravati, have echoed this sentiment, highlighting Balasaheb Thackeray's invaluable contributions to Maharashtra and endorsing the demand for this honor to be bestowed upon him by the government.
