In response to disruptions caused by dense fog, Indian Railways has promptly initiated several vital steps. The heads of Northern, North Eastern, and North Central Railways are mandated to review real-time train statuses and resolve passenger grievances, including catering.

Ensuring On-Time Departure of Vande Bharat and Shatabdi Express

The DRMs of Delhi, Lucknow, Moradabad, Varanasi, and Prayagraj divisions are also tasked with vigilant oversight and necessary interventions. The railway has pledged additional rakes to ensure the timely operation of the Vande Bharat Express and Shatabdi trains. This includes deploying a 20-coach Vande Bharat rake to maintain punctuality for New Delhi-Varanasi services.

IRCTC War Room Activation

Additionally, a 20-coach rake designated for the Vande Bharat service is being transferred from West Central Railway to Northern Railway. East Central and Southern Railways are preparing two AC rakes from available coaches to reduce delays. IRCTC is coordinating catering for spare rakes, ensuring cleanliness and bedding arrangements. At the board level, real-time train monitoring is underway, and IRCTC has activated a war room to address operational and catering issues efficiently.
