Leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP, Rahul Gandhi (Rahul Gandhi), addressed an election rally in Jammu. During this, he spoke on issues such as the state status of Jammu and Kashmir, taxes, and GST. Rahul Gandhi said, 'In the history of India, many UTs were made into states, but for the first time a state was demoted to a Union Territory, and this happened to Jammu and Kashmir. This act is an injustice to the people of Jammu and Kashmir; your democratic rights have been taken away from you.'

'Our government will restore...'

Rahul further stated that they thought statehood would be restored before the elections. That was the right approach, but now they want you to regain your democratic rights as soon as possible. This has never happened before in India's history and should not happen to anyone. As soon as our government is formed in Jammu and Kashmir, we will restore statehood.

Rahul Gandhi reiterated, 'Jammu is a crucial hub that connects Kashmir's business and production to the rest of the country, but the BJP government has broken this central role, crippling local MSMEs and entrepreneurs. Until MSMEs in Jammu and Kashmir stand independently, employment will not be created here.'

'GST is a weapon used to attack small businesses'

Rahul Gandhi further commented that the current government operates for billionaires like Adani and Ambani. GST is a weapon that has been used to attack small and medium enterprises in Jammu and Kashmir. The truth is that demonetization and flawed GST policies have destroyed millions of businesses in India.
