'If you have the courage of Indira Gandhi, call Trump a liar...': Rahul Gandhi's Open Challenge to PM Modi

In the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi claimed that Pakistani General Asim Munir, who planned the Pahalgam terrorist attack, was invited by Trump to the White House for lunch. The Prime Minister has said nothing about it. According to Gandhi, this government lacks a coherent foreign policy.

During the discussion on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, leader of the opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi sharply criticized the government. Gandhi accused the government of sending pilots into battle with their hands tied and lacking the political will. Referring to the 1971 war, he mentioned that former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had given the military a free hand, resulting in the surrender of 100,000 Pakistani soldiers and the division of Pakistan.

Questioning Trump's Assertions

Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi mentioned that the Indian DGMO had been advised by the government not to escalate tensions at night amidst conflict. Gandhi criticized the government for telling Pakistan that they were attacking but would not target military bases. He insisted that by doing so, India was admitting a lack of political will to engage in conflict.

Regarding the claims of a ceasefire by US President Donald Trump, Gandhi challenged the veracity, stating Trump claimed 29 times that he stopped the war. He urged the Prime Minister to declare Trump a liar in Parliament if it wasn’t true, suggesting that anyone with half the courage of Indira Gandhi would make such a statement.

Munir: The Mastermind of Pahalgam

External Affairs and Defense Ministers claimed they had halted Pakistan, but is it true? Asim Munir, who spreads terrorism in India, was invited to the White House by President Trump, a place where even Prime Minister Modi hasn't been. Trump sought to thank him—for what? For spreading terror? Gandhi demanded answers.

The New Norm: Dining with Terrorists

Gandhi highlighted the disturbing new normal of having the mastermind of the Pahalgam attack lunching with the US President. He asserted that the Indian government now equates any terror act with an act of war, handing power to terrorists by suggesting attacks on India could equate to warfare.

The True War: Against China, Not Pakistan

Gandhi emphasized the challenge posed by both Pakistan and China to India's foreign policy. Operation Sindoor revealed the actual conflict was against China, not Pakistan. During the operation, Pakistani forces collaborated with China against India. Pakistan's strategies evolved entirely, with China providing them satellite data and battlefield intelligence.

This collaboration between the two nations poses a formidable threat to India. Rahul Gandhi highlighted Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar's apprehension of China, stressing that India fights on two fronts. He conveyed his earlier assertion that India’s foreign policy should successfully isolate Pakistan from China—a goal yet unachieved, damaging India's strategy.

Democracy Disturbed: The Ongoing Turmoil

He criticized a governance structure that lacks the mettle to confront Trump, stating, “We cannot endure a Prime Minister unable to leverage military power or confront Trump’s falsehoods, leading to them now lying about aircraft revelations.”
