In Indian families, a son's job is often celebrated as an accomplishment. In a patriarchal society, a son's earnings are seen as prosperity, but this view does not extend to earnings from daughters or wives. Our society often frowns upon men who rely on the earnings of their daughters or wives. This narrow-mindedness cost the life of a talented tennis player in our country.

In Gurgaon, a father killed his daughter because she refused to close her tennis academy. Only 25 years old, national-level tennis player Radhika Yadav was shot by her own father for keeping her academy open. Radhika earned well from the academy and supported her family's expenses, but her father, Deepak Yadav, was not in favor of this.

Deepak Yadav told the police he faced societal pressure to stop Radhika from working. Before the murder, he had visited his village, where people criticized him for living off his daughter's income. They labeled him a poor father because she acted independently. According to sources, lies about Radhika's character were spread, causing Deepak to fear social disgrace.

'What will people say' is the common fear that holds many back. Similarly, Deepak, swayed by 'these four people', pressured Radhika to close her academy. When Radhika refused, he killed her in anger. In his statement to the police, Deepak attributed the murder to societal taunts, saying he was mocked for consuming his daughter's earnings.

Deepak Had An Annual Income Over 10 Million

Deepak's statements make it seem as if Radhika's earnings were crucial for him and he was frustrated by the taunts. In truth, her income was not essential for him as Deepak himself was well-off. He earned significantly from his property dealing business, approximately 1.5 million annually, and received over 10 million as rental income. This suggests that her earnings didn't matter much, casting doubt on Deepak's statements. Police suspect there may be more complexities to the case, including other motives for the murder.

Spent Over 25 Million on Radhika

Investigations reveal that Deepak himself set up Radhika's tennis academy. He spent over 25 million to nurture her international-level tennis career, buying expensive rackets and gear. The question arises: why would a father, committed to his daughter's career, suddenly kill her over the academy?

Police Probe Various Angles

Police suspect other motives besides societal taunts for Radhika's murder. They are examining various angles, including one related to social media influencer Elvish Yadav. Information suggests Radhika aspired to become a social media influencer like Elvish. Both hail from the same village, Wazirabad, near Gurgaon. After a shoulder injury ended her tennis career, Radhika wanted to earn through social media content. Her father disapproved, not wanting her involved in making online reels.

Evaluating Radhika's Social Media Accounts

Police are checking Radhika's social media accounts. Recently, her Instagram was deactivated, and the police are investigating the reason behind it.

Mother's Behavior Under Question

The behavior of Radhika's mother is under suspicion. The murder occurred on 10th July, her birthday. While Radhika was cooking for her mom, the murder happened. Her mother's indifference post-murder raised suspicions. She refused to record a statement, claiming ignorance of why Deepak killed Radhika. Despite repeated questioning, she cited fever and refused to cooperate. Information on Radhika's brother's whereabouts is also missing. The police are investigating his current location.

Music Video Surfaces Post-Murder

Following Radhika's murder, attention shifted to a music video she's associated with. Allegedly, her father was upset regarding it. This video, roughly two years old, depicts love relationships, featuring Radhika and an actor named Inamul, who often appears in such videos. Claims arose that Deepak opposed this video and reels. Further claims indicate a friendship between Inamul and Radhika, which aggravated her father.

5 Claims Under Investigation

There are five major claims surrounding this murder case, driving it into the realm of suspicion.

First Claim:

Did Deepak kill Radhika due to societal taunts?

Reason for Doubt:

Deepak took pride in Radhika’s academy, boasting about it to neighbors and relatives. He actively supported her tennis career, even playing alongside her.

Second Claim:

Deepak was troubled by the taunt about 'living off his daughter's earning'.

Reason for Doubt:

With substantial income from rent alone, any contribution from Radhika was negligible. Deepak financially assisted in launching her academy.

Third Claim:

Deepak was angry with Radhika's habits of making reels.

Reason for Doubt:

As per her coach, she neither followed many accounts nor had many followers. Her posts were minimal, making the reel reason suspicious.

Fourth Claim:

Deepak was upset about Radhika’s music video with Inamul Haque.

Reason for Doubt:

This video was shot two years back under Deepak’s supervision, indicating his support for her acting career.

Fifth Claim:

Radhika's mother and brother were unaware of the murder details.

Reason for Doubt:

Radhika’s mother was on the same floor during the five-round shooting, unavoidable noise implied awareness. Deepak mentioned his attempts to close the academy, so it's unlikely the mother and brother were clueless about the father-daughter conflicts over the academy. The brother’s current whereabouts remain unknown.
