In Bangladesh, since the coup, radical groups have continued their attacks on Hindus. In a demonstration of solidarity with Hindus against these attacks, ISKCON temples have become a target for these radicals. On Friday, the radical Islamic group Hefazat-e-Islam protested in Chittagong demanding a ban on ISKCON.

The protest rally took place outside the Anderkilla Jame Mosque in Chittagong following Friday's Jumu'ah prayers. Members of Hefazat-e-Islam, a radical group, chanted anti-India and anti-ISKCON slogans. The call for a nationwide ban on ISKCON came after the organization expressed an eight-point solidarity with common Hindus, leading Islamic groups across the country to declare it as an extremist Indian organization.

During the rally in the Anderkilla area, leaders of Hefazat-e-Islam issued threats towards ISKCON and Indians.

Notably, since the change of power on August 5, Islamic radicals have been active in Bengaluru, openly targeting minority Hindus participating under Dr. Yunus's administration.

India Demands Action Against Radicals

Amid reports of tension following inflammatory social media posts in Chittagong, India urged Dhaka on Thursday to take action against radical elements and ensure the protection of the country's Hindu community. Ranveer Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, condemned the alleged attacks on members of the Hindu community in Chittagong. He noted that the tension was a result of provocative posts on social media, which has circulated numerous videos. It is condemnable. Bangladesh has a special responsibility to provide security to minorities.
