In Punjab, confrontations between the police and gangsters are a frequent occurrence. A recent incident surfaced on Sunday where a CIA team went to raid upon receiving information about illegal arms in Hoshiarpur district's Mukerian village. During the operation, a police officer was martyred amid firing by criminals.
According to reports, the Punjab Police's CIA team received intelligence of illegal arms in possession of an individual named Rana Mansurpur in Mukerian. Upon arriving, the officers were met with gunfire from criminals, and ensuing conflict ensued.
In the raid and subsequent exchange of fire, a bullet struck a CIA officer. The officer took a critical hit to the chest and was immediately rushed to a private hospital, where he was declared dead. Upon hearing the news, the district police chief promptly headed to the site of the incident.

A brief video of the Punjab Police's operation also emerged, showing members of the special team scrambling after crossfire and the entire vicinity being cordoned off by the CIA team.
