Tragic Accident in Patiala: Bus Crashes Into Tree

A significant accident occurred in Patiala district, Punjab. Near Faridpur village in the Nabha block, a Punjab state transport bus suddenly went out of control and collided with a tree. About 15 passengers were seriously injured in this incident, including the driver and conductor of the bus.

According to the agency, eyewitnesses reported that the accident was so severe that the front part of the bus was completely damaged, and villagers faced great difficulty in rescuing the trapped passengers.

People relayed that as soon as the bus hit the tree, there was a chaos among the passengers. Nearby people rushed to the spot and immediately informed the police about the incident. They managed to extract the trapped passengers from the bus and transported them to the hospital using ambulances and other vehicles.

Police sources said that the injured have been admitted to government and private hospitals in Patiala. Some passengers are reported to be in critical condition. The police have begun investigating the incident at the site. Preliminary information suggests the bus was traveling from Malliwal to Patiala and was carrying more passengers than usual.

Locals say that the bus runs on this route daily, mainly transporting students and office-goers. At the time of the accident, there were more passengers than its capacity, causing difficulty in controlling the vehicle which led to this accident. Police officials state that they are determining the cause of the accident and will record the driver's statement once his condition improves.
