The results are out for Punjab Board's class 10th examination. Topping across Punjab with a perfect 100%, Aditi from Ludhiana has set a new benchmark. This year the passing percentage stood at 97.24, with girls leading at 98.19% and boys at 96.47%. According to the data, the board's results have seen a downturn this year.

Comparing results over the past four years, girls have consistently outperformed boys. The board's best 10th-grade outcome was in 2021, boasting a 99.94% pass rate for girls and 99.92% for boys. However, this year has seen a decline in the pass percentage compared to the previous four years.

When we examine the figures closely, not only has the overall pass percentage dropped this year, but both girls' and boys' pass rates are at their lowest in four years.

Fewer students failed this year than the previous year

In 2023, at least 653 students failed the class 10th exams, and 6171 students had to retake the matriculation exams. This year, in 2024, 394 students failed.

Students who participated in Punjab Board's annual matriculation examinations can check their online marksheet via the official website pseb.ac.in. Remember, this is a provisional marksheet. For the official marksheet and certificates, students will need to visit their respective schools later on.

About three hundred thousand students took the Punjab Board 10th class exam this year. The exams started on the 13th of February and were conducted up to the 5th of March, 2024. Students who appeared for the matriculation board exam can check their results using the steps mentioned below.

Last year, Pathankot district had the highest pass rate at 99.19%, while Barnala had the lowest at 95.96%. In last year's PSEB class 10 results, government schools had a pass rate of 97.54%, while private schools came in at 97%.
