On Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his full confidence in achieving successful outcomes in the ongoing trade discussions between Washington and Delhi. He further mentioned his eagerness to have a conversation with his 'very good friend,' Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the coming weeks.

'Looking Forward to Speaking with My Friend PM Modi'

Trump took to the social media platform, Truth Social, to share his joy in announcing that India and the U.S. are diligently working to overcome trade obstacles. He stated, 'I am keen to engage in discussions with my very good friend, Prime Minister Modi, in the weeks ahead. I have no doubt that these talks will conclude successfully for our two great nations.'

'Special' India-U.S. Relations

Earlier on Saturday, Trump described the U.S.-India relationship as 'special,' emphasizing the strong bond between him and PM Modi. Trump remarked, 'I will always be a friend of PM Modi. He is a great Prime Minister. Sometimes, there might be a few disagreements, but the relationship between India and the U.S. is very special. There are no worries.'

In response, Prime Minister Modi stated, 'I deeply appreciate President Trump's sentiments and his positive evaluation of our relationship. I fully accept it. India and the U.S. share a very positive and future-oriented broad and global strategic partnership.'
