The investigation into the blast has unearthed major revelations. Another car linked to the blast was found on Thursday in the parking lot of Al-Falah University, Faridabad. According to police, this car was registered under Dr. Shaheen Shahid's name, who has been apprehended in connection with the 'White Collar Terror Module'.
Police probing other vehicles at the University
Faridabad Police stated that the suspect Maruti Brezza car found at the university is being investigated by Jammu-Kashmir Police. The bomb disposal unit was summoned for examination. Investigations are ongoing for other vehicles parked at the University, confirming owner details.
Terror plot orchestrated via encrypted Swiss app
The investigation revealed that the main suspects, Dr. Omar Mohammed, Dr. Muzammil Ahmed, and Dr. Shaheen Shahid, planned the entire operation using an encrypted Swiss messaging app to coordinate their terror mission. DNA samples confirmed Dr. Omar was driving the white Hyundai i20 that exploded near the Red Fort.
Raids in Nuh, a fertilizer seller detained
Raids conducted on Thursday in Nuh, Haryana, led to the detention of a person selling fertilizer and seeds in Pinangwan. Suspected culprits allegedly bought large quantities of NPK fertilizer from this shop. Furthermore, on Wednesday, the investigative team recovered another vehicle, a red Ford EcoSport, in Khandawali village, Faridabad.
The individual who parked the vehicle in the village was detained by Faridabad Police and handed over to Delhi Police. The investigation exposed a plot where terrorists purchased three cars for transporting IEDs. Consequently, Delhi Police issued alerts at all stations, checkpoints, and border points across the city.
