The Prayagraj Mahakumbh is witnessing a massive gathering of devotees. A large number are returning to other states after their holy dip. By 9 AM on Sunday, over 3.17 million devotees had taken a sacred plunge, while a total of over 6.07 billion people have bathed so far. This has resulted in heavy crowds at railway stations. A similar video has emerged from Chandauli district's Deen Dayal Upadhyaya railway station, where a large number of devotees are returning from Prayagraj and catching trains to Bihar and other states.

At the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya (DDU) railway station, the crowd is so large there's hardly any space to stand in the trains. Yet, people are somehow boarding trains and standing for their journeys. Passengers traveling from Deendayal Upadhyay Junction towards Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha are in distress.

A woman missed her train to Sasaram, Bihar, due to the crowd. When our team from Aaj Tak spoke with her, she explained that the train was overcrowded, which caused her to miss it after her bath in Prayagraj. Now, she plans to travel on another train.

Furthermore, trains to Sealdah in West Bengal were completely full, from AC compartments to general coaches. Some passengers, unable to find seating, hung at the train’s doors. The station was completely packed with devotees.
