In Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, the devotees displayed incredible enthusiasm during the Basant Panchami celebrations at the Magh Mela. By late Friday evening, a remarkable 35.6 million devotees took a sacred dip, resonating with unwavering faith.

The local administration predicted that from Basant Panchami through Republic Day on January 26, about 35 million devotees would partake in the holy bath. However, an unprecedented crowd made their way to Prayagraj just for Basant Panchami.

With the upcoming weekend and Republic Day holidays, a substantial influx of pilgrims is anticipated. Thus, the fair administration has strategically devised a unique plan for these three days.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has commended the preparations put in place for the pilgrims. He extended his greetings to all revered saints, seers, and pilgrims who attended for the sacred dip and observance of Kalpavas.

Heartfelt gratitude to the revered akharas, local administration, police forces, fair management, sanitation workers, volunteer organizations, boatmen, and all state departments for ensuring the peaceful completion of the auspicious bathing festival.
