As the Lok Sabha elections approach, a new debate sparks within the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). Prakash Ambedkar, leader of the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, has penned a letter to NCP leader Jitendra Awhad. The letter demands a guarantee that no MVA party will shift towards BJP post-elections.
Prakash Ambedkar's letter states, 'You (NCP) personally assured us that there won't be an alliance with BJP after the Lok Sabha elections. However, there's been no formal promise from the party, and your representatives at the meeting maintained silence on this issue. We need a confirmation that post-elections, no MVA faction will go over to BJP.'
'Pawar has endured much suffering over the past 5 years'
Jitendra Awhad has replied to Ambedkar's letter, stating their stance is clear. He shared, 'Pawar Sahab (Sharad Pawar) has suffered greatly from his own in the last five years. He decided that those wanting to join BJP could do so, but he would not. His house was divided, yet he did not turn to BJP.'
'Some parties indirectly benefiting BJP'
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut also responded to Ambedkar's letter. Raut mentioned there is no need for assurances and nobody should doubt their commitment. He accused some of serving the hidden agenda of BJP and RSS while acknowledging Ambedkar as a respected leader, suggesting they will collectively discuss the matter.
'Don't talk about giving certificates'
After statements from Sanjay Raut to Jitendra Awhad, Prakash Ambedkar made a statement regarding his letter. He commented,'What should I say about the letter I wrote? Let's not talk about giving out certificates. I neither give them out nor is it proper for anyone to give us one.'
