Embattled suspended JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna has returned to Bengaluru from Germany after 35 days amid sexual assault allegations. Arrested by the SIT shortly after his flight landed, Prajwal had fled to Germany from Bengaluru on April 27.
A team of women police officers escorted Prajwal to the CID office in a jeep. He will be detained at the CID office overnight. The team also took two suitcases from the airport.
Prajwal Revanna will be taken for a medical test on Friday and is due to appear before a magistrate within 24 hours, where police will seek his custody. Reports suggest the SIT may seek 14 days of Prajwal Revanna's custody, though courts typically grant seven to 10 days.

The forensic team will also take an audio sample to determine if the voice in the viral sex video matches Prajwal's.
Before returning to India, Prajwal had filed an anticipatory bail plea on May 29. Now that he is arrested, it technically becomes his bail application, with a hearing scheduled for Friday.
Video Released This Week
Three cases of sexual harassment have been filed against Prajwal so far. This week, the Hassan MP had released a video message in which he promised to appear before the SIT on May 31 and cooperate with the investigation.
After multiple sex tapes surfaced in Karnataka, Prajwal Revanna fled the country in April. Voting took place on the Hassan seat on April 26. Following an SIT request, Interpol had issued a 'Blue Corner' notice against Revanna.
FIR Filed on April 28
An FIR was filed on April 28, by a maid working in Revanna's household. She accused HD Revanna and his son Prajwal of sexual harassment. The victim claimed to be a relative of Revanna's wife Bhavani and alleged that she was hired to work at Suraj Revanna's wedding in 2019. She accused them of inappropriate touching in the storeroom when Bhavani was not at home.
The woman alleged that Prajwal also made indecent video calls to her daughter, who later blocked his number.
Prajwal Fled to Germany on April 27
The day after voting on Hassan's seat, and one day before the first FIR was registered, Prajwal fled to Germany.
In a letter to Prime Minister Modi, Karnataka's Chief Minister Siddaramaiah stated that it was shameful that Prajwal Revanna used his diplomatic passport to flee the country shortly before the first FIR was filed.
