While addressing the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council, CM Yogi Adityanath once again highlighted the successful organization of the Kumbh festival. He targeted those who questioned the Kumbh by pointing out that the global media praised it profusely, but some could only see shortcomings. Additionally, CM Yogi attacked Maharashtra's MLA Abu Azmi's statement on Aurangzeb, criticizing it for setting a misguided ideal.
He emphasized that the SP considers that person as their ideal who imposed Jizya on the people of India and called for such individuals to be expelled from the party. It's unclear what pressures compel them to support such figures. They should be sent to Uttar Pradesh for proper remedies.
According to CM Yogi, "Expel that person from the (Socialist) party and send them to UP, we will take care of it. Does someone who feels ashamed of the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, chooses to admire Aurangzeb instead of taking pride in their history, has the right to live in our country? The Socialist Party should answer this. On one hand, you keep blaming the Kumbh; on the other hand, you praise a figure like Aurangzeb, who destroyed the temples of the nation...Why can't you control your MLA? Why didn't you denounce his statement?"
CM Yogi stated that today, the Socialist Party has drifted away from Dr. Lohia's principles and looks up to Aurangzeb instead. Shah Jahan, Aurangzeb's father, wrote that God should never give anyone such offspring...read Shah Jahan's biography to understand. Aurangzeb assaulted India's faith and aimed to Islamize the nation. No decent person would name their offspring after Aurangzeb.
During his speech, CM Yogi mentioned that over 600 million people gathered for the Kumbh without any criminal incidents occurring. All caste distinctions were dissolved. The Kumbh demonstrated that the entire country is united, holding no space for casteism or regionalism.
CM Yogi remarked, "Being able to present our thoughts with restraint in the assembly is of utmost importance. I thank all members who participated in the discussions. This is a significant year, and we are witnesses to it. The Kumbh has captivated the minds of everyone and will continue to attract the world for a long time."
CM Yogi added that while people may have their personal sentiments, we cannot impose our opinions on them. During the Kumbh, many parties, many leaders indulged in unnecessary criticism, whereas we chose to remain silent and fulfill our responsibilities.
CM Yogi said that talking about the Kumbh can only be done by those who participated in its proceedings. As Lord Krishna stated in the Bhagavad Gita, he appears in the form people remember him. This Kumbh festival has sparked new Hindu discourses. The people of Prayagraj, and the surrounding districts, exhibited remarkable hospitality, welcoming visitors from over 100 countries.
The CM also stated, "While you speak of PDA (Per Day Allowance), I speak of the boatmen. A boatman from Prayagraj earned Rs 30 crore through this event, making over Rs 50,000 a day—a testament to economic upliftment. I heartily commend the citizens of Prayagraj and Kashi, who warmly hosted visitors and pilgrims for over fifty days."
