At a rally in Banswara, Rajasthan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unleashed a barrage of criticism towards Congress. He claimed that if Congress returns to power, they plan to divide the people's property among Muslims. He reminded the crowd of a past statement by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, which asserted that Muslims have the first right over the country's assets.
According to the news agency PTI, PM Modi stated at the rally that the 'urban Naxal' mindset wouldn't even spare the mangalsutra of our mothers and sisters. He contended that Congress' manifesto threatens to inventory gold holdings of the populace, specifically targeting minorities.
The Prime Minister questioned whether the public would accept the potential division of assets among the larger families and illegal immigrants, querying if they consent to their hard-earned wealth being distributed in such a manner.
Rahul Gandhi Hits Back
In response to PM Modi's remarks, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused the Prime Minister of stooping to new lows with lies after being disheartened by the initial phase of voting. Gandhi emphasized that the nation is now looking towards voting on actual issues—employment, family, and future—and will not be swayed by misleading tactics.
'Congress Trapped in Leftist Snare'
In Banswara, PM Modi accused Congress of being ensnared by left-wing ideologies, branding their manifesto as alarming and serious, with intentions resembling Maoist doctrines. He elaborated on his concern about the proposed surveys on personal wealth, including gold possessions of tribes and families, calling out for public disapproval of such government overreach into private assets.
PM Modi Levels Charges at Congress
The Prime Minister also charged Congress with neglecting tribal welfare over their 60-year rule, questioning why not a single individual from the tribal community was considered presidential material during their tenure. However, he praised that, with the support given since 2014, an indigenous daughter now holds the presidential office, aligning with Dr. Ambedkar's constitutional vision.
Owaisi Targets PM Modi
AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi criticized PM Modi for labeling Muslims as intruders and for insinuating they have more children. Owaisi pointed out that Modi's assurance since 2002 has been to malign Indian Muslims for electoral gains and that the nation's wealthy have been favored during his government.
BJP Shares Former PM Manmohan Singh's Video
