The much-anticipated dates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections will be announced today. The Election Commission is set for a press conference at 3 PM to declare the election schedule, along with dates for state assembly elections in Odisha, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh. The Lok Sabha elections are expected to commence in mid-April and span several phases until the end of May.
On the day before the election dates are made public, Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a nation-wide letter on Friday. Addressing the citizens, he stated, "A decade has passed in our journey together. I believe your continued support will be steadfast. In nation-building, our relentless efforts assure you, Modi guarantees steadfastness."
In his letter, PM Modi began by saying, "My dear family members, we are at the threshold of completing a decade together. The trust and support of 1.4 billion Indians motivate me. The transformative changes in people's lives over the last ten years represent our government's most significant achievement. These results stem from our steadfast government's sincere efforts to improve the quality of life for the poor, farmers, youth, and women."
