Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a captivated audience at the India Today Conclave 2024, discussed 'Redefining India' and shared his government's plans for a future with minimal governmental interference. He emphasized his focus on the year 2027, rather than just the immediate future, saying, 'If my vision for 2047 is realized, I promise to extricate the influence of government from the lives of its citizens.'

Neither Pressure nor Absence of Government Should Exist: PM

He further added, 'I always say that people's lives should not feel the pressure of government nor should they experience a lack of it in times of need. When poverty strikes, no one should feel left alone. The government should be present where necessary, but it shouldn't meddle in everyday affairs. If my mission for 2047 is accomplished, rest assured, I will have removed the touch of governance from civilian life.'

Not only intricate laws but also ease of living: PM Modi

Modi claimed his administration's commitment to significantly reduce the public's need to engage with government offices, stating, 'Life should be free so that one can chase their dreams under the open skies. With the aim of ease of living in mind, we've abolished redundant laws. 40,000 intricate laws, to be precise, making life simpler for our citizens.'

Only freedom doesn't define ease of living: PM Modi

He elaborated that improving ease of living doesn't just mean offering conveniences - it's about saving the hard-earned money of the poor and middle class. Our government's strategies in this regard are a case study in fiscal prudence.

'Discounts on railway tickets offered too': PM Modi

'Consider the savings of 2.5 trillion rupees by the citizens due to our government's measures. Imagine the discounts delivered even on railway tickets. Moreover, the surge in startups during my government's tenure stands witness to game-changing policies, including the provision of easy loans to street vendors without guarantors, and their admirable adoption of Digital India initiatives,' said PM Modi.
